An advertisement for Radium Eclipse Sprayers, a product advertised as using Radium’s radioactive properties as both a pesticide and a furniture cleaner, circa 1910s. The United States Radium factory in Orange, NJ was sued in the 1920s following five female factory employees, dubbed the Radium Girls, contracting radiation sickness.
